3D Scene Recreation – 5 Centimeters per Second
(01) Overview

This project involved recreating a specific scene from the critically acclaimed animation 5 Centimeters per Second in 3D. The goal was to faithfully translate the original 2D cinematic environment into a detailed, realistic 3D setting while preserving the aesthetic and emotional impact of the scene.

I modeled the environment from scratch based on the original scene, applied textures, set up lighting, and rendered the final output in Arnold to capture the cinematic mood.

This process required careful attention to color, composition, and atmosphere to maintain fidelity to the source material and honor the visual language of the original film.
